Diamonds & gold
Are Elite Jewels diamonds natural or lab-grown?
Every diamond Elite Jewels sets is natural. Elite Jewels does not sell lab-grown diamonds. That includes the uncut diamonds in our polki work, which keep their original shape. For lab-grown diamond jewellery, our family runs a separate brand, 3C's & Co (3csandco.com).
Are your diamonds certified?
Every centre stone Elite Jewels sets comes with a GIA grading report, which you can check on GIA's website using its report number. Tiny side stones (melee) are too small for any lab to grade one by one, so ask us what documentation comes with a pavé or tennis piece. Each product page lists the certificate for that piece, or says “on request”, and you can ask to see it before you buy.
Is Elite Jewels gold BIS hallmarked?
Yes. Every gold piece from Elite Jewels is hallmarked by a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) assaying centre, as Indian law requires. The stamp shows the BIS logo, the purity (22K 916, 18K 750 or 14K 585) and a six-character HUID code unique to that piece.
How do I check a HUID hallmark?
Enter the six-character HUID in the government's free BIS CARE app. It shows the gold purity, the type of article and the jeweller who registered it. Ask for the HUID, net gold weight, diamond weight and karat to be listed on your invoice. Any jeweller should do this, Elite Jewels included.
Which metals do you work in?
Elite Jewels works in white gold, yellow gold and rose gold. We don't make jewellery in platinum. Each product page shows the metals that piece is offered in.
02
Bridal & bespoke
What is the difference between polki and jadau?
Polki uses uncut natural diamonds that keep their original shape and soft glow, set by hand in 22K gold. Jadau is the technique: stones are embedded in hand-worked gold with no prongs, so the gold itself holds every stone. Much bridal jewellery combines the two. Elite Jewels makes both by hand in its Surat workshop.
Do you make bridal jewellery?
Yes. Bridal polki and jadau in 22K gold is what the Elite Jewels family specialises in. We plan the whole wedding: engagement rings and bands, the bride's set, reception diamonds, and pieces for mothers and sisters. Start early: handmade polki and jadau take time.
Can Elite Jewels make a custom piece?
Yes, most of what Elite Jewels makes is bespoke. It starts with a conversation about what the piece is for and your budget. We sketch it, then build it in CAD so you can see every angle before any metal is cast. You choose the stones, and the piece is cast, set, polished and hallmarked in our Surat workshop.
How long does a custom piece take?
It depends on the piece. A bespoke diamond ring from Elite Jewels usually takes 2 to 3 weeks from final design to collection. Larger pieces such as necklaces and bridal sets take around a month. Handmade polki and jadau need more time, so for a wedding, start early.
Can I choose my own diamonds?
Yes. For a bespoke piece you pick the diamonds yourself, either at the Surat showroom or on a live video call. We show you loose stones side by side, each with its certificate, before anything is set.
Can you redesign old jewellery or use my own stone?
Yes. Elite Jewels can rework an heirloom into something new, or design around a stone you already own. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what is possible before you commit to anything.
03
Buying & visiting
Why don't you show prices on the website?
The price of a piece depends on the day's gold rate, the gold weight and karat, the exact diamonds in it and the making charges. So Elite Jewels quotes each piece individually. Tap “Enquire” on any piece and we'll send you the price on WhatsApp.
How do I enquire about or buy a piece?
Tap “Enquire” on any piece and WhatsApp opens with a message to Elite Jewels that already includes a link to that piece. We reply with the price and specifications, and can arrange a showroom viewing or a video call.
Can I see more designs than the website shows?
Yes. The website shows a selection. Our finest polki, jadau and bridal pieces are shown privately, to protect the designs. Ask on WhatsApp and we'll send you photos of the private collection.
